Dr. Kristen Jacobs
Associate Veterinarian
Hi, my name is Dr. Jacobs, and I am a veterinarian at Angleton Veterinary Clinic. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
At home, I share my life with my cat Marlie, my lab mix Belle, my German shepherd Asha, and my Kakariki (New Zealand Parakeet) named Riki.
Favorite Part of My Job
My favorite part of this work is the variety of animals I get to love on and spoil while also building lasting relationships with their owners. I love getting to know both pets and their people and being a trusted partner throughout their lives.
Why I Chose This Profession
I love working with dogs and cats, and I also have a special interest in exotic animal medicine, including small mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians. I believe every pet deserves compassionate, individualized care, and I love that I'm in a profession where I get to provide that every day.
Education
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2017. I then completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, graduating with honors in 2023.
Work History
I began my career at Sherwood Animal Clinic as a kennel technician and technician assistant from 2011 to 2018, with time off for college. I also worked at Waggie Pet Zone, where I started as a kennel worker and was promoted to Playcare Manager between 2017 and 2019. I graduated from Ross University in January of 2023 and have worked at Angleton Veterinary Clinic ever since.
