Gabby Martinez
Receptionist
Hi, my name is Gabby Martinez, and I am a receptionist at Angleton Veterinary Clinic. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping our clients and their pets feel welcome and well looked after.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy assembling LEGO models, spending quality time with my children, and shopping. At home, our 10-year-old Chihuahua, Bruiser, has been my son's faithful companion and best friend since the day my son was born. They have grown up together, sharing countless adventures, cuddles, and memories. Although Bruiser is a senior dog, you would never know it from his playful spirit and youthful energy — he still loves to run, play, and be part of everything the family does, though he also appreciates a cozy nap after a day of fun. His unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship have made him far more than a pet; he is a treasured member of our family.
Education
I attended Brazoswood High School from 2011 to 2015. I then studied nursing prerequisites at Brazosport College from 2018 to 2020.
Work History
I began my career at Brazoswood Vet in 2016 as a veterinary technician, where I administered medications, vaccines, and intravenous fluids as prescribed, monitored anesthesia during surgery, provided emergency care, safely restrained animals for procedures, and took and developed X-rays. I joined Angleton Veterinary Clinic in November 2023 as a receptionist, where I answer multi-line phones, greet clients, check pets in and out, and assess the urgency of sick or emergency visits. I also manage scheduling for appointments, surgeries, and boarding stays, maintain medical records and patient data, prepare charts, create treatment estimates, discuss invoices, process payments, and balance end-of-day drawers. Just as importantly, I educate pet owners on wellness plans, insurance, and preventatives, while offering compassionate support during emotional moments.
