Dr. Sherry L. Dodson grew up around animals. During her youth, she was active in 4H, FFA, and showing horses as well as working in a pet shop through high school. After graduating from Greenville High School (Greenville, TX), she then earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Texas A & M University. The Texas Veterinary Medical Association named her its 1998 Recent Graduate of the Year. Her professional memberships include:
Dr. Dodson also works extensively with the Interact Club of Angleton High School through her Rotary Club. She has been the Sponsoring Rotarian since it’s inception over 12 years ago. Dr. Dodson is also a member of the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce. She is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Angleton and teaches adult Sunday School Classes. Multi-faceted (and daring!) as well as intellectually facile, Dr. Sherry L. Dodson retired from competitive skydiving after a decade, with more than 3,700 skydives! Not content with mere overland pursuits, she is also a certified SCUBA diver! She shares her home with four dogs and a cat. Maggie, is her beloved 12 year-old gray-and-white tuxedo cat. Although she is slowing down a bit, she is still as wonderful as ever. Her two Australian Cattle dogs are Mo and Whisper. Mo is 5 and he is a very handsome boy who spent two years in the top 10 Australian Cattle Dogs in AKC as well as winning an Award of Merit at the Westminster Dog Show. Whisper is 4 and is Doc’s best herding dog and occasional counter surfer. She also has two Cardigan Welsh Corgis, Miley and Hattie. Miley is 2 and just finished her Championship in Conformation and will now strictly be a herding and obedience girl. Hattie is just 6 months old and is from a very special litter of puppies. She has a very bright future! All of her adult dogs compete in Obedience and Herding. Needless to say she spends a lot of time in training classes with her dogs! In her private time, Dr. Sherry L. Dodson enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening and watching football. Go Wildcats! |

I was born in Angleton, Texas in 1978. I lived in Angleton until March of 2010, when I moved to Clute along with girlfriend Christina Hensley. We had to get a bigger place in order to accommodate a new arrival. Christina and I welcomed our new baby girl on June 6, 2010. She weighed in at 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 19 inches long. Now our lives revolve around feeding her, changing diapers and trying to keep her happy. We named her Allison Elizabeth but most of the time I refer to her as Miss Crabby Pants. I have worked at Angleton Veterinary Clinic since August 12, 1993. I graduated from Angleton High School in 1996 and hold an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Graphics & Design from Brazosport College. I received my CVA1 certification through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2006. My interests include NASCAR, IRL, baseball, football, Texas history & US history. My favorite drivers are Mark Martin (NASCAR), and Helio Castroneves (IRL). The Houston Astros are my favorite baseball team but I also follow the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. The Astros are my team, however Ben Sheets of the Oakland Athletics, is my favorite player. The Alamo and American Civil War are of great interest to me. I have done extensive research on both and at one time I even considered being a history professor. |
