James A. Potter: Veterinary Technician

James Potter

I was born in Angleton, Texas in 1978. I lived in Angleton until March of 2010, when I moved to Clute along with girlfriend Christina Hensley. We had to get a bigger place in order to accommodate a new arrival. Christina and I welcomed our new baby girl on June 6, 2010. She weighed in at 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 19 inches long. Now our lives revolve around feeding her, changing diapers and trying to keep her happy. We named her Allison Elizabeth but most of the time I refer to her as Miss Crabby Pants.

I have worked at Angleton Veterinary Clinic since August 12, 1993. I graduated from Angleton High School in 1996 and hold an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Graphics & Design from Brazosport College. I received my CVA1 certification through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in 2006.

My interests include NASCAR, IRL, baseball, football, Texas history & US history. My favorite drivers are Mark Martin (NASCAR), and Helio Castroneves (IRL). The Houston Astros are my favorite baseball team but I also follow the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. The Astros are my team, however Ben Sheets of the Oakland Athletics, is my favorite players. The Alamo and American Civil War are of great interest to me. I have done extensive research on both and at one time I even considered being a history professor.

Dusty Ferrell

Dusty Ferrell

Hi, my name is Dusty Ferrell, I’m one of the newest additions to Angleton Veterinary Clinic and I am looking forward to my future here. I’m not a Texas native; I came here from South Georgia. My education and work background consist of business management and customer service. I’ve spent much of my time volunteering at animal shelters and urge anyone who loves animals to support their local shelters as well. My love and respect for animals was gained early in life, my grandfather was a dairy farmer and was known by our community as the “cow doctor”. I learned many things from him, most importantly that an animal’s greatest need was for us to love them. I live in Brazoria, Texas with my husband Ralph, son Harly, our cat Henry and three dogs, Rachel, Buster and Ginger. I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my dogs to the beach and reading.

Hi, everyone calls me Jae. I am a native Houstonian, but have lived in Angleton for over 20 years. I also lived in Colorado for over 4 years. I enjoy watching the Astros as much as I can (football in the off season), Sudoku puzzles, and electronic solitaire. I have only been at Angleton Veterinary Clinic for 8 months.
